ν-OTDR - High Resolution OTDR
The ν-OTDR is our highest resolution instrument. The ν-OTDR connects to an external PC via a USB interface. With its short refresh rate, the ν-OTDR can be used for real-time fiber monitoring. The measurement range is up to 40 km, while the actual measurement is done in windows of 200 or 800 m.
Choose the ν-OTDR whenever highest resolution and high speed fiber monitoring is required.
Luciol develops fiber optical instruments on a OEM basis. The range of OEM products covers OTDRs, polarization mode dispersion (PMD) analyzers, chromatic dispersion analyzers and others on request.
LOR-200/220 - High Resolution OTDR
The LOR-200/220 family is a fully portable OTDR, with the look and feel of a standard portable OTDR. The LOR-200/220 is a stand-alone solution integrated in a PC platform with a touchscreen interface. Using Luciol’s scanning photon-counting technology (US patent #7,593,098), the LOR-200/220 achieves an unprecedented dynamic range at measurement distances up to 160 km.
The LOR-200 is optimized for telecom applications in the wavelength range of 1000 nm to 1650 nm. The optical pulsewidth is variable from 2 ns to 1000 ns. For FTTx/FTTH/PON applications a special model capable of in service testing is available.
The LOR-220 is a very high resolution version of the LOR-200. With a fixed optical pulse-width of only 1 ns it is optimized for short range fiber assembly analysis. A typical application is avionics fiber testing. The LOR-220 is available for multimode and monomode optical fibers. The wavelength range is from 400-1650 nm.
